OMG this is life changing…well not really

20 Mar

Hey lovely people.

Got some good news for ya and I got some not so good life changing news…wellllll it’s really not that bad.

Good News

I’ve set up shop somewhere else in cyber space, and it’s around the need to travel far, just a CLICK AWAY.

My current blog is called Dance Live Inspire but my domain is, so I decided to start a new’s still called Dance Live Inspire. except, the domain is Also this blog is dedicated to dance, everything dance and only dance. It’s not the conventional blog..

Dance Live Inspire

A blog that connects, educates, develops and highlights the creative freedom of dancers and dance lovers in the commercial & entertainment industry.

It’s not censored, it’s truthful and there are lots more to come from this.

So what’s the not so good news you may ask

Well, I will be changing my current blog..I will have everything from my website at and I will have a personal blog dedicated to helping ladies look and feel good from the inside out..and may I add this comes with all the randomness, craziness and misbehaving antics that I’m known for. I figured the best way to help others, which I really truly love to do, is to be myself 100% of the time.

So you see the bad news is not so terrible and life threatening after all.

I will continue to post some great stuff on this blog, but it won’t be for long. And I promise you when I move my personal blog, you will be notified.

So here is what I need you to do..if you love dance, then go over to Dance Live Inspire and check it out. CLICK HERE

And thank you in advance..:)

Talk to you lovelies later.

A message to the creative entrepreneur

16 Feb

Every now and then, something inspires me, sometimes I don’t know where the inspiration comes from. Like today, it just came and within 3 minutes I wrote this. But I don’t think it was instant inspiration, I think now was the right time to share this, so like all natural things, everything flowed and fell right into place.

Step out with faith

Being an artist is fun, we are able to create, we are able to start from scratch and bring life to anything, we use colors, we use music, we use our bodies, we use whatever it is made possible to create magic.

However we are also very fragile beings. We are sensitive about our work, and we spend endless hours until the world notices our talents constantly explaining what we do, why we do it, and how we make a living from doing it.

We find it hard at times for the rest of the world, “The Regular People” to understand us, and give us the time we need so we can foster our talents. I say regular people, because sometimes the regular people think of us as “The Odd Ones”

We put our talents out there, and pray that it is best received. Some enjoy, some dislike, some despise, and some take what we put out there, duplicate it and call it their own.

We experience many challenges and we experience many joys.

But today, this one is for all the creative entrepreneurs I know, this also goes out to myself.

Step out with faith.

Know that the gifts given to us, is for us to share with the world, and it doesn’t matter how hard times get, and trust me they get hard, don’t give up.

Whenever you fall, get up, dust yourself off, wipe your face, dry your tears and continue.

Keep stepping out with faith as your armor. Something great will happen, just know it, feel it and believe it.

Give your time and skills to someone else

14 Feb

When feeling lost, not knowing what the next move should be, one of the best things we can do for ourselves is to help others.

Help someone achieve their goals, be of service to others. Learn, and open up yourself to meet new people, try new things, go to new places. But continue to be of service to others. I’ve learned that great things happen when we do this. Volunteer, participate in a group activity.

Sometimes we like to isolate ourselves, and feel sorry for ourselves.

That’s not the best thing to do.

Don’t have an end result in your mind. Just be of someone elses service. You will start to notice a shift in your energy, and while you help someone else you’re helping yourself. It’s amazing.

Just ask someone could I help, what do you want me to do?

I’m not saying, go out there and let someone take advantage of your kindness and labour, I’m saying let it be about someone other than you.

Because at the end of the day we all need help, and wouldn’t it be nice to have someone offer their help to you when you need it.

Exactly, so if you understand this rule, this law, then go help someone.

Let me know if you have been in a situation similar to this…have you gave your time to helping others and because you did this, you helped yourself professionally and or personally..

A sweet thank you

Tips to get the most out of your group exercise class

24 Nov

Quick tips to help you get the most out of your next group exercise class

Keep your core tight throughout the workout. You may get carried away, with how amazing you feel and how great the dance move and or exercise is, or you may be tired and your muscles are fatigued, whatever the reason, don’t lose focus of what you’re doing. Keep your core engaged and tight through out your entire workout.

Watch the instructors que, for movement or direction change. This is the best way to pick up on what exercise is coming up next. Sometimes the music is too loud for the instructor to give you a verbal cue, so paying attention to non verbal cues are helpful to let you know what movement and which direction is coming up next.

Don’t forget to breathe. Often times, participants get so tense, because they are gasping for air, or they are so focus on mastering the exercise. Yes your going to get tired, and yes you want to pay attention to your technique, but don’t forget to breathe.

You don’t want to injure yourself, so pay attention to your body. If a body part starts to hurt you, and you know or you’re not sure if it’s because of the exercise you’re doing then STOP. You know your body more than you may think, Listen to your body and the signs that it gives to you. If you have had any injury that may affect your workout, make sure you ask your doctor if it’s safe to participate in the fitness class.

Drink water before, during and after your workout

Push yourself, if you know you can go harder, don’t be afraid to raise the bar for yourself.

Set a goal for yourself, give yourself a rating system, 1-10. 1 means you did poorly and 10 means you did great. Give yourself a rating after each workout, it helps you stay on track, puts you in the driver’s seat, and you hold yourself accountable for your own success.

Stretch. Take time after the class or a few minutes when you get home to stretch your muscles, your soul will thank you for it.

Don’t forget to congratulate yourself. You showed up, you participated, and you completed the workout.

Self Expression: Women who influence us

24 Nov

If you don’t know by now, I love when a women stands up and expresses herself regardless if Tom,  Dick, Harry, Sue, Barb and Bob likes it or not.

I was going through my list of women who are sexy, smart and absolutely creative, ladies who do not care for being put into a box.

Through history there are women that come through and shake things up a little..and I like that..I like to applaud these ladies, because without them many of us wouldn’t know what is possible if we truly follow our creative self.

So cheers to that ladies, keep being you, the world likes it, even when they say they don’t.

And if you’re wondering why I choose this pic..because I think it’s an awesome pic..its sexy, its creative, it’s part of pop culture..and it’s of the ultimate, one of the best that ever done it.

Are there any female artist or activist that has left a lasting impression on you?
